Things to pack and check before going on vacation by car
Your car’s condition
You don’t want to spoil your precious vacation on the side of the road so, before you go, it’s a good idea to have you local Chevrolet dealer check:
- battery
- lamps
- tyre pressure
- oil level
- exhaust pipe
- brakes
Many dealers offer special summer checks at competitive prices
Insurance
If you’re taking your car abroad, you should inform your insurer. Otherwise you may not be adequately covered in the event of an accident.
Roadside emergency
This is hopefully the last thing on your mind, but it’s good to be prepared:
- breakdown triangle
- safety vest
- first-aid kit
- flashlight
- EU accident form
- camera to document an accident
Make sure these items are not packed underneath heavy suitcases!
And finally…

- 112 in most European countries
